INCREDIBLE, BEAUTIFUL BYKER
Incredible, Beautiful Byker was a creative school project celebrating growing up and growing old in the Byker.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Byker Arts Festival commissioned Mustard Stories Arts with pupils from Byker Primary School to create a zine that celebrates their home.
For six weeks, we ran creative workshops with Years 3-6 alongside teachers and parents. These workshops explored Byker’s past, present and future through different forms of art, creative writing and story collection.
This zine Incredible, Beautiful Byker is a love letter to the area which also shares all the hopes we have to make it a better place to live.
