Down The Derwent was a school project a part of the ‘Riverside Routes’ creative programme that celebrates the Tyne Derwent Way
ABOUT THE PROJECT
For six weeks, we worked with St Joseph’s Primary on a zine project inspired by the Derwent Way.
Throughout our time together we explored the Derwent river on a creative walk to the land of Oak and Iron, created handmade zines about the local nature and co-produced class zine with illustrator, Tamsin Rees.
This was commission from Gateshead Council Arts Team.
